At the end of the winter term, join RNSD for an exciting end of year trip to the theatre. We’re off to visit young Clara as she is swept away into an enchanting winter wonderland of dancing snowflakes and a Sugar Plum Fairy. Her magical Christmas tree and her handsome prince with his army of toy soldiers are an unforgettable delight. In this most festive ballet, gigantic sets, lavish costumes, 60 dancers and a full orchestra combine to make the perfect Christmas treat. The world-famous production by Sir Peter Wright, with exquisite costume designs by John Macfarlane, is acclaimed as one of the best in the world.

Cinderella’s life with her cruel stepmother and stepsisters is one of drudgery and hardship until the evening of an extravagant party at the palace. With the help of her Fairy Godmother, she’s the centre of attention when she arrives at the ball in a magical coach and wearing a gorgeous gown. The handsome Prince sweeps her off her feet and they dance the night away until the clock chimes midnight and the evening comes to an abrupt end.
The performance-only option is suitable for any pupil from RNSD aged 8+, however for those of you studying at Grade 5+ or a Vocational level (Inter Found, Intermediate etc), Ms Parker has booked an hour and a half long Repertoire Class at BRB studios with a BRB teacher before the performance which will be a fantastic opportunity. You will need a packed dinner and a change of clothes/ tracksuit to put over the top of your dancewear. There will be an hour and a half between the end of the class and the start of the performance to change, eat and be in our seats.
